PESTO with WHITE ARTICHOKES AND BASIL GENOVESE PDO
A unique, delicate and light pesto, made with tender artichoke hearts that blend in well with the Genoese pesto ingredients. It is one of Grandma Maiè’s recipes, who used to make it at Easter when they would harvest artichokes in Aurigo and mix them with chopped basil which had been preserved in oil and salt from the summer before.
Artichokes 50%, extra virgin olive oil, fresh PDO Genoese basil, cashews (*), PDO Parmigiano Reggiano (**), pine nuts, garlic, corn starch, wheat fibre (***), salt. Acidity regulator: GDL. Allergens: (*) nuts, (**) milk and milk-derived products, (***) grains containing gluten and their derived products.
